Terre Haute expedition: Camping Day 1

[It's been a more or less uneventful day of travel for the expedition team. Not unexpected for the first leg of such a trip, and with any luck, it will stay that way.

As the sun starts to get low in the sky, Felix signals the group with a sharp whistle to stop, shortly after he feels the change. They've entered the Dead Zone. That sudden loss of power for anyone used to that sort of thing. Not an easy thing to adjust to, at first.]

"We've crossed into the border of the Dead Zone now. We should stop here for the night. Those of you with experience, help set up camp as needed. And I recommend a few of you working out a watch schedule. You never can tell what might be out here."

[Absently, Cass begins to braid a thin lock of Steph's hair.]

What other... sense, is there? You said, romantic sense. [She turns to look up at Ezio again.] But you said, other senses.

[He pinches Cass' thigh, playfully.]

You cannot guess?

[Can't really see what Cass is doing, but it feels nice!]

Friendly, familial... and sometimes there's not even words for it.

[Like for her two pals with her right now :') ]

[Cass snakes her hand back to pinch Ezio's thigh in return, but she does it lightly too.]

Never had love, before Stephanie. Don't always know... what it looks like, in people. So, no. Can't guess.

[She's frowning at Steph's description, though.]

Sounds complicated. Should just be... one kind, for everyone.

[He chuckles.]

Well, I am sure you will know many kinds before long. Stephanie even forgot "sexual!"

[Cass :( That breaks her heart a bit, and she reaches to take one of her hands to fiddle with.

It's not that complicated. It's not like it's something you actively think about, you know? I don't say "I love you like a best friend," I say "I love you." No explanation needed!

Never even had boyfriend. So, that kind's... not really likely.

[And Stephanie's body language won't be tolerated. Sorry Ezio, but Cass is abandoning your side so she can leans down and hug Steph. It's kind of awkward and she has to bend into an odd shape to do it, but it's worth it.]

[She snugs Cass back... watching Ezio carefully as she does so. It's not a big deal, Ezio!!]

Wasn't allowed. Batman wanted... attention on mission, no distractions.

[She shrugs, but what she doesn't say is come on, let's be real here, who would want to date the creepy girl who can barely talk? No one, that's who.]
