Terre Haute expedition: Camping Day 1

[It's been a more or less uneventful day of travel for the expedition team. Not unexpected for the first leg of such a trip, and with any luck, it will stay that way.

As the sun starts to get low in the sky, Felix signals the group with a sharp whistle to stop, shortly after he feels the change. They've entered the Dead Zone. That sudden loss of power for anyone used to that sort of thing. Not an easy thing to adjust to, at first.]

"We've crossed into the border of the Dead Zone now. We should stop here for the night. Those of you with experience, help set up camp as needed. And I recommend a few of you working out a watch schedule. You never can tell what might be out here."

[She's just going to assume they're only talking about how Cass likes to fight and not the kind of sex she might enjoy.]

Not really. Would rather just... fight, until can't move. Usually what I do anyway.

[Or she goes until she throws up, but hey. And since she's still cuddling Steph, she'll just give her a quick squeeze.]

Exactly! Sometimes you want to make love until you cannot move, and sometimes you just want to do it quickly with the thrill of being caught.

[NOT REALLY but Steph will settle for just rolling her eyes.]

This is Ezio's favorite topic in the whole wide world. Might as well let him get it out of his system.

[She kind of wants to ask if Steph likes fast or slow better, but asking in front of Ezio seems unfair. She doesn't want to put Stephanie on the spot and she definitely doesn't want to embarrass Tim while he's not even here to defend himself, so she'll just have to settle for one opinion on the matter. She's looking at you, Ezio.]

Which do... you like better? Fast or slow?

[Ezio is so terribly amused.

[Even though Cass didn't ask her, this is still freakin' awkward. She goes out of her way not to think about Ezio's sex life!!]

[Doesn't, but NEEDS TO ESCAPE before her face explodes from the blushing.]

[Aww, Steph. Cass lets her go and tries not to look too disappointed she's being ditched, but she kind of is. With a lie to cover it up, too. So sad.]

[Gets up, patting Cass' shoulder as she goes. Totally knows she sees through everything, which is why she needs to hide for a moment. Maybe she really will pee. Who knows...]

[With Stephanie leaving, Cass is unsure what the boundaries are for laying on Ezio. She sits up too, but stays close by him.]

Should we... find new subject, now?

[He leans back on his hands.]

If you'd like. I am not making you uncomfortable, am I?

[She just smiles at him.]

No. You have Lana. Questions are okay, right?

Of course. They are only questions.

[Now that Steph is gone, though, Cass has entirely different questions to ask.]

Probably shouldn't do... fast or slow, with this.

[She reaches out to touch her fingertips to his side lightly in the place where his wound is.]

[He pauses, surprised, but realizes. Ah.]

No, certainly not. You knew...?

Could see it, in your movement. Is it bad?

It was just a small blade.

[She frowns because they both know even a small blade can end a life if it's used right. But he's alive, so she doesn't bother pointing that out.]

You're hiding it. Why?

I do not want to make Stephanie worry, that is all.

[hellofist]

Shouldn't have come, then. Should have... stayed home, healed.

[She's not really one to talk since a house fell on her and she's still here, but she doesn't have any stab wounds.]

Whose blade? What happened?

[assassino]

I'm a trained soldier and nearly twice your age, Cassandra, I know what I am capable of managing.

[He sighs.]

It was just a street brawl.

[She rolls her eyes because that's just stupid.]

Want a prize? Still got stabbed, age doesn't matter.

I'm saying I have more than enough experience with injuries to know.
