Terre Haute expedition: Camping Day 1

[It's been a more or less uneventful day of travel for the expedition team. Not unexpected for the first leg of such a trip, and with any luck, it will stay that way.

As the sun starts to get low in the sky, Felix signals the group with a sharp whistle to stop, shortly after he feels the change. They've entered the Dead Zone. That sudden loss of power for anyone used to that sort of thing. Not an easy thing to adjust to, at first.]

"We've crossed into the border of the Dead Zone now. We should stop here for the night. Those of you with experience, help set up camp as needed. And I recommend a few of you working out a watch schedule. You never can tell what might be out here."

It's not that complicated. It's not like it's something you actively think about, you know? I don't say "I love you like a best friend," I say "I love you." No explanation needed!

Never even had boyfriend. So, that kind's... not really likely.

[And Stephanie's body language won't be tolerated. Sorry Ezio, but Cass is abandoning your side so she can leans down and hug Steph. It's kind of awkward and she has to bend into an odd shape to do it, but it's worth it.]

[She snugs Cass back... watching Ezio carefully as she does so. It's not a big deal, Ezio!!]

[It's not a big deal, which is why Cass is completely fine answering.]

Wasn't allowed. Batman wanted... attention on mission, no distractions.

[She shrugs, but what she doesn't say is come on, let's be real here, who would want to date the creepy girl who can barely talk? No one, that's who.]

Christ, I get distracted if I haven't had the opportunity to "date" women.

I would drive Batman to insanity.

So I have heard many times.

[Cass sighs and moves around again, this time settling so she can rest her head on Stephanie's chest while they both lay on top of Ezio.]

I miss him.

[a pile of ladies on him. He wishes he could take a picture to send to Tim.]

I'd like to meet him. You ladies could vouch for me, hm?

[She wraps her arms around Cass. Tim would explode if he had any idea...]

I don't think that would go very well.

[They'll just have to cuddle on top of Tim when they get back to make it up to him. For now, Cass is very comfortable where she is and isn't showing any signs of moving any time soon.]

Could try, but... don't think he'd like you.

Tim tolerates you. Batman? Not so much. Not even close.

If boyfriends aren't allowed... assassin friends won't be.

[Especially if they go around pinching her thighs.]

Ah, so Cassandra will like us when we feel neglected by the Batman. That is a comfort.
