Who wants to go home?

[It's been a long and busy past few days, and the giraffes of Terre Haute can sense the uneasiness among the weary travelers. Though some may not quite grasp why, others have a better sense of what's going on.

The three most vocal giraffes approach the group, who seems eager to depart. It seems they have a parting gift for the group, as well as a rather generous offer.]

[Jumpy Raffle is among the first to speak, holding something in one hoof. It's best not to try questioning how giraffes hold things with their hooves again.]

Um, thank you? You helped us, and I think that everyone here is grateful. So you can have this. If you want it? It's a thing you can take. Do you like to build boats? This is a pretty good one. I know because we used to build ships a long time ago. Um, giraffes used to, I mean? Please be careful with it? It is really a really old artifact!

[The gift seems to be plans to build a proper sailing vessel. This could certainly become useful in the future, or make a fine addition to a glass case in the library.]

Boats! I've always wanted to build a boat and see what kind of treasures we could find. If you need some help making that, I'm your guy.

[He smiles a little at the giraffe.]

BARRY'S OFFER

[Barry being Barry speaks next, with an offer he believes the residents can't refuse.]

You know, you may not be as fantastic as giraffes, but I guess you helped, so we'll help you too. Since us giraffes are the best at a lot of things, we'll carry you back to your castle on our backs, but just this once.

[On the backs of majestic giraffes? Can they run that far for so long?]

You didn't think all that dancing was for fun, did you? We've got much better stamina. We'll get you home by sundown. We're just amazing like that.

I really appreciate it, but I had a question. There's some armor I'd like to take back, and it's pretty heavy. Would it be okay to carry that too?

If not, I can stay with the horses and take the long way back.

[And of course, little Raffy will see to it that everyone is well-stocked with essentials for the trip home, as well as organize the other giraffes with carts and saddles.]

[Now's the time to sort out who will ride with who and, of ccourse, grab that last minute refreshment.]

[Carolina's busy trying to heave her armor into the cart hooked up to one particular giraffe, that a certain someone arranged for her. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Let's be real here, though, even though this is Diet Spartan armor, it's still heavier than she can manage on her own, what with the battle wounds and coming straight from a near-death experience just prior.

So, she's got it broken down into pieces, with some of them already loaded, but the chest plates are extremely heavy and she's not doing super great with them.]

Juice, huh? ... Sure, thanks. [he's still a little weirded out - okay a lot - but he's thirsty, and it's better than the warm, stale water he'll have in his canteen for the trek home]

[This is beyond bizarre, but Felix doesn't have much room for arguing the point if it will get the job done. None of the residents died, for which he can at least be thankful.

He gives the small giraffe a weary smile.]

Someone had best use the journal to alert those at the castle that we will be returning before the day is done, so that everyone's loved ones will be able to eagerly await with open arms.

THE RIDE HOME

[This is certainly different. Who knew these giraffes had such speed, and for so long! With the promise of arriving home by sun-down, it's safe to say that it's okay to relax once again after being on edge for so long.

Feel free to chat with your riding partners, exchange stories, or just talk about how long you'll be in the shower after this.]

[Zelos, not trusting enough to be on the back of a giraffee, is resting in one of the carts. He's resting up against one of the walls of the cart, attempting to try to write in his journal- but man this ride is way to bumpy so watch as he frequently has his pen go off the page with a big smear]

Jeez! I give up!

[He shoves the journal in his bag and instead tries to relax. Man this was an exhausting trip...]

[ This is beyond fast to Anne, at least keeping at a constant pace, and with her right arm she can't handle this strong of a ride by herself.

So anyone she knows who wants a queen riding with them, here you go! ]

[The Once-ler is sitting on his wagon, Melvin crammed into the back along with the cottage (the mule looking exceptionally annoyed by this) as they're pulled along by one of the giraffes. The Once-ler himself seems pretty content right now, after all he's scored himself some new technology to take apart, and a faster route back to the castle. What's not to be content about.

So, he's relaxing and playing his guitar, working on a certain someone's birthday present]

Giraffes are distracting

[It hadn't taken Danny long to decide that giraffe-riding was the way to go. Because seriously, when was he ever going to have another opportunity like this? He'd quickly found a secure perch on the giraffe's back as he craned his neck to get the best view.]

Okay, you know what? This is seriously awesome!

[It took a little convincing, but Aradia managed to talk the giraffe she's riding into undertaking a test of speed. Now all they need is an opponent, and she's got someone specific in mind.]

[Relax? For real? No, there is no relaxing. Jane is clinging to her giraffe's neck, wide-eyed as it lopes onward.]

Uuh...okay. This is definitely the STRANGEST part of this trip yet!

[Mitsuru was just like "Whatever" at the offer of using giraffes as a transport. She just wants to go back to the castle and think. She was trying to read a book, but the giraffes were travelling to fast for her to focus. She sighs and just puts the book back in her expensive-looking bag.

She sighs and just looked at the scenery. She looks deep in thought though. What was that base? Who are those things and what did they want? She feels like she lets the peace in the castle get her guard down. While no one died in the expedition, it's clear that there are things outside the castle that would mean them harm. She just can't relax with that thought in her head.]
