Who wants to go home?

[It's been a long and busy past few days, and the giraffes of Terre Haute can sense the uneasiness among the weary travelers. Though some may not quite grasp why, others have a better sense of what's going on.

The three most vocal giraffes approach the group, who seems eager to depart. It seems they have a parting gift for the group, as well as a rather generous offer.]

[This is certainly different. Who knew these giraffes had such speed, and for so long! With the promise of arriving home by sun-down, it's safe to say that it's okay to relax once again after being on edge for so long.

Feel free to chat with your riding partners, exchange stories, or just talk about how long you'll be in the shower after this.]

[Zelos, not trusting enough to be on the back of a giraffee, is resting in one of the carts. He's resting up against one of the walls of the cart, attempting to try to write in his journal- but man this ride is way to bumpy so watch as he frequently has his pen go off the page with a big smear]

Jeez! I give up!

[He shoves the journal in his bag and instead tries to relax. Man this was an exhausting trip...]

Guess it'll have to wait until we get back.

Nnngh, but I wanna take a shower when I get home! A long long shower!

[It sure has been an exhausting trip. Even Galadriel is tired, ability to go without sleep for a time not withstanding. And having just fought for the first time in many, many, many years? She's sore. And bruised. And blood splattered. Not that she's complaining, mind you. She could have been a lot worse off and she knows it. But it's not exactly a fine state for hanging on to a swift moving steed, so she also opted for one of the carts.

At Zelos' exclamation she looks up and offers a wane little smile.]

I have neglected my own log terribly. [Good thing elves have irritatingly good memories.]

[He'll look over at Galadriel when he hears her voice. It's weird to see her look so..dirty. He knows there's more to her than the lady of the wood, but at the same time even for him it's hard picturing her outside the white gowns and clean glow. Now she seemed as messed up as the rest of them]

Heh...it's turned out a lot harder than I thought it'd be. How far did you get?

[You know who's hungry and exhausted after all that fighting?

This guy.

And he is just obnoxious enough to fall asleep within arm's reach of his beleaguered friend.]

[Whoa he's asleep? He looks over at his friend. Hmmmmmm..this could be good]

[ This is beyond fast to Anne, at least keeping at a constant pace, and with her right arm she can't handle this strong of a ride by herself.

So anyone she knows who wants a queen riding with them, here you go! ]

[For the most part, Vereesa has kept to herself and her own thoughts throughout the ride. She's glancing out at the passing scenery, none of which is terribly familiar to her, though she still holds onto the hope of spotting her sisters.

Every so often she'll cast a glance at the others riding with them, and her eyes fall upon the "Queen" she met previously. She seems to be nursing a wounded arm, and Vereesa straightens a bit as she addresses her.]

Were you injured in the attack?

[James had, of course, offered to stay with the queen during their ride back to the castle. Even if she hadn't taken him up on the offer he would be lingering nearby, keeping an eye on her during their journey]

[The Once-ler is sitting on his wagon, Melvin crammed into the back along with the cottage (the mule looking exceptionally annoyed by this) as they're pulled along by one of the giraffes. The Once-ler himself seems pretty content right now, after all he's scored himself some new technology to take apart, and a faster route back to the castle. What's not to be content about.

So, he's relaxing and playing his guitar, working on a certain someone's birthday present]

[Twang...twang. He pauses, looking up at the long necked creature pulling his wagon along. Another twang]

[ Okay, Anne will have to laugh at that in passing DESPITE THE LYRICS REQUESTING OTHERWISE. Hearing silly songs makes her feel less like she wants to throw up, at least. ]

[Melvin wasn't the only one displeased by this situation. Conan had been deposited in the very small corner in the back not taken up by the cottage and the mule.

He was somewhat resentful about this.

And so, when the Onceler starts on the next verse, Conan hums along at the top of his voice. His horribly, horribly off key voice.]

[Luke was fussy at first for not being able to ride a giraffe, but it's probably for the best. Whatever space is left in the wagon, it doesn't take Luke long to curl up and drift off to sleep. It's been a long, tiring trip and the first time in a long time Luke has been this dirty, tired, and scared for his life.

His nap doesn't last long, when he's woken up by singing.]

Mm? Who's singing?

[in the back of the Giraffe-drawn cart in front of them, Lemony opens up his accordion case and plays a few experimental supplementary chords. hope you don't mind help]

[Oh dear gods, her ears. Sheena's in the wagon, staring at the other occupants, and stroking Melvin's coat.

As fast as Onyx can run, she's not doing so this time; she's keeping watch over a certain bird in another cart--making sure no biting is happening. And why isn't Sheena with them? She's making sure a certain young man is made to get out an walk.]

Once-ler, how in the name of Tethe'alla are you able to think with this going on?

[It hadn't taken Danny long to decide that giraffe-riding was the way to go. Because seriously, when was he ever going to have another opportunity like this? He'd quickly found a secure perch on the giraffe's back as he craned his neck to get the best view.]

Okay, you know what? This is seriously awesome!

[It took a little convincing, but Aradia managed to talk the giraffe she's riding into undertaking a test of speed. Now all they need is an opponent, and she's got someone specific in mind.]

Hey, Vriska! Last one there is moldy grubsauce!

[Relax? For real? No, there is no relaxing. Jane is clinging to her giraffe's neck, wide-eyed as it lopes onward.]

Uuh...okay. This is definitely the STRANGEST part of this trip yet!

_{[ He might feel a bit guilty about riding another beast other than Yfandes - he had not in so many years, because, well, why should he? But this was truly amazing, a speed greater than he had ever traveled and he watched the scenery go by, letting out a delighted sound. ]}

Magnificent! I wonder if this is how the griffons and mages of legend saw the world when they flew...

[Mitsuru was just like "Whatever" at the offer of using giraffes as a transport. She just wants to go back to the castle and think. She was trying to read a book, but the giraffes were travelling to fast for her to focus. She sighs and just puts the book back in her expensive-looking bag.

She sighs and just looked at the scenery. She looks deep in thought though. What was that base? Who are those things and what did they want? She feels like she lets the peace in the castle get her guard down. While no one died in the expedition, it's clear that there are things outside the castle that would mean them harm. She just can't relax with that thought in her head.]

[Not far away, Danny is leaning dangerously far over the side of the giraffe as he does his best to see everything around them.]
