Terre Haute

[Today, our intrepid explorers have finally made it to Terre Haute. It’s mostly grassland, and on the outskirts small spotted lions, about the size of leopards prowl around. They seem to be more interested in the strange antelope running around than in any people, however. Towards the edge, lies a cliff face, looking out to sea, on occasion giant whales can be seen breaching the water.

Of the weird thing they came to look for, in the distance is a cylindrical shape, lying on its side. But between them and it is a strange village. One made up of excessively tall wooden huts, all of which have electric lights, turned on, though how they’re creating such power is a mystery, they are still very much inside the dead zone.

The residents of this off little village are wandering around, going about their buisess. The residents being a group of bemused looking giraffes. Perhaps you will even see some familiar non-giraffe faces milling about.

[He gives Stephanie an even more confused look. Where does she get off telling him what to do?]

Because they'll probably eat you, if not spill your insides everywhere. And I know you. Leave them alone.

[assassino]

[You're only giving him ideas!]

So you are saying it would be manly to fell a beast like that.

[secondchances]

No. It would be unmanly, very, very unmanly, not to heed the wise words of a lady! [She takes his arm.] Let's go look at the view from the cliffs.

[assassino]

[He lets her.]

I want to look at the animals...

[secondchances]

You can after we check this out. Then you can look at the animals. Look. Like you said. I'm not returning you to your girlfriend in chunks.

[assassino]

I find it strange that you think that I –– a trained soldier and Assassin -- am going to be chewed up by a big cat.

[secondchances]

Better safe than sorry.

[She says as she approaches the edge of the cliff and lets go of his arm to peer over.]

Whoa. How cool.

[OCEAN!! Real ocean.]

[assassino]

[He takes a running step as if to jump off ;)]

[secondchances]

[Has that mom reflex, like when the car makes a sudden stop and they put their arm out to make sure their kid doesn't jerk into the seatbelt.

Watch your side, Ezio >:( ]

[assassino]

[He stops himself before he barrels right into her arm, but he's not sure which is worse: abruptly stopping himself or just hitting her arm. It feels like it might be the same against his gut.]

Agh! Come on, Stephanie, you know I would not!

[secondchances]

[Thinks he's just being a big baby, so she laughs... and goes to grab both his sides. AFFECTIONATELY.]

I know! You were acting, and I was acting. We can say the big bambino thing is an act, too.

[assassino]

[He very pointedly pulls away from that touch, almost startled by her hand on his side.]

I'm not a baby.

[secondchances]

What was that? [Tries again.]

[assassino]

[A bit pointedly as he grabs her wrist to stop her:]

Stephanie.

[secondchances]

[Stops. He usually likes horseplay. She looks at his side.]

Are you okay?

[assassino]

I'm fine, I'm just stiff from days in the saddle.

[Sort of.]

[secondchances]

[She frowns, concerned. Isn't he used to stuff like that?]

Your sides? It always hurts my butt and back.

[assassino]

[He waves her off.]

Do not worry, it's just a minor discomfort.

[secondchances]

Sorry for unintentionally trying to break you. [Smiles, then turns back to the view.]

Pretty, huh?

[assassino]

You need not apologize.

[ He turns to look, too.]

Have people never traveled by water? It seems strange, given how quick traveling the coast would be.

Who knows what's out there, lurking...

The same could be said about these lands. Creatures put no stopper on courage!
