[Good evening, explorers! After departing from Cair Paradisa, the path was south at first, but turned west fairly early on. Skirting well south of Eldritch Forest, the travelers had camped near the edge of the Amber Steppe, not quite within sight of the forest that marks the Totem Coast. The grasses are parched brown by the heat, though greener patches mark the presence of water. It's near one of these - a small, bubbling stream leading west that Raine has chosen to follow as it will almost certainly run into the river marked on her map - that the travelers have made their camp.

The carts and wagons are arranged in a defensive circle, though the campers are free to set up their tents outside them as well as inside wher ethe rest of them are. There are small cooking fires scattered around as well as a large bonfire in the center for socializing.

Play music? Sing? Teach those poor non-Earth kids how to make s'mores? Or just sit around and socialize with others.

Or hide in your tent and ignore everyone, if you really want to.]

[After dinner, Zelos is a bit away from the camp circle, laying back in a green patch of grass he's found. He seems to be relaxing and looking up at the night sky. It's not QUITE the roof, but hey it will do. He doesn't look very upset or anything, simply a bit more...tired than he keeps presenting himself when he's around the others. Guess even the loud whiny goofball gets tired of being in the action sometimes too huh?]

[WHY HELLO FELLOW GINGER!

Without his enhanced senses, he may not hear Kallen approach until she's plopping down on the grass next to him.]

Anything interesting?

[wilder]

[MY PEOPLE. ]

[He doesn't hear her approach until she plops down, partly because he's so used to having enhanced senses he's still not used to the fact he needs to pay more attention to things. So he makes a surprise move out of pure reflex, but then instantly relaxes when he sees who it is and offers a smile]

Ace. It's a pretty sky.

[There's a familiar face peeking your way, Zelos]

[he notices that, squinting but smiling a little]

Oh hello darling. Rue, right~?

[fly_little_bird]

[She smiles and nods, moving closer.]

Yup. And you're Zelos, right?

[wilder]

The great one and only.

[fly_little_bird]

[She raises an eyebrow]

The one and only?

[wilder]

Do you know any other Zeloses?

[fly_little_bird]

No I guess you're right.

[wilder]

Exactly!

So the one and only I am!

[For a guy who's so loud and talkative, Tsuna's been picking up on how Zelos distances himself from others. It's not that often, but it's something he's suddenly found himself much more aware of after Zelos had spoken about being up on the rooftop a lot.

Besides that ridiculous outburst the other day, Zelos has just seemed so much calmer, at least around him. Tsuna's not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing yet, but it's certainly made Zelos seem more approachable to him.]

[Meet Zelos Wilder. Biggest social butterfly loner around. Except maybe Once-ler who is a fail hermit]

[But his eyes glance over when he sees Tsuna approach. He's a bit surprised to see the kid coming out to talk to him. Since you know, kid doesn't seem to do a whole lot of talking to him]

Yo Tsuna.

[Tsuna gives a soft sound of amusement despite himself.]

Not Tsunie this time?

[He hesitates a few moments longer-- well, the guy hasn't shooed him off yet, so he decides it's okay to take a seat some feet away from him.]

Well, unless you want me to call you that.

Aha. No, it's fine.

[He looks up at the sky for awhile himself.]

... what are you thinking about?

[wilder]

[a pause as he contemplates what to say; what not to say]

Hmm...just how strange this sky is to me.

[Tsuna blinks at Zelos before looking back up.]

Aaa. It's really pretty, though.

[persequor]

What are you doing?

[ Hey look, Zelos. The stowaway is clean. And wet. ]

[wilder]

[....Oh hey there is a little girl under the dirt. Who knew]

Looking up at the sky.

[persequor]

[ She tilts her head up to look. ]

Do you know the names of these stars?

[wilder]

Not really.

[He points at one of the more twinkling ones]

I call that one blinky.

[persequor]

Is there a twinkle too?

[wilder]

Not yet. I'm just starting out my star charting days, you know?

[persequor]

You'd be a terrible star charter.

[ She sits next to him. Stretching, she wriggles her bare toes. ]
