[Good evening, explorers! After departing from Cair Paradisa, the path was south at first, but turned west fairly early on. Skirting well south of Eldritch Forest, the travelers had camped near the edge of the Amber Steppe, not quite within sight of the forest that marks the Totem Coast. The grasses are parched brown by the heat, though greener patches mark the presence of water. It's near one of these - a small, bubbling stream leading west that Raine has chosen to follow as it will almost certainly run into the river marked on her map - that the travelers have made their camp.

The carts and wagons are arranged in a defensive circle, though the campers are free to set up their tents outside them as well as inside wher ethe rest of them are. There are small cooking fires scattered around as well as a large bonfire in the center for socializing.

Play music? Sing? Teach those poor non-Earth kids how to make s'mores? Or just sit around and socialize with others.

Or hide in your tent and ignore everyone, if you really want to.]

[ Barely reining in a smile, she walks back to Zelos and jumps so she can throw her arms around his neck. ]

[And he's getting used to this so he'll catch her, wrapping his arms around her quickly to hold onto her. She's light enough so it's easy to carry her even without his powers, but he'll still tease] Umpf! You feel heavier out here, darling.

[persequor]

[ All she wanted was to be able to pat him patronizingly on the head. Damn height difference. ]

You'll live. I eat a lot, but I never get any bigger.

[Haha midget. Whatever, he's carrying you back towards the camp now so consider it a free ride]

Hahaha, you just spend too much of it running around.

Though I hear people don't age here.

[persequor]

That's what I was told. [ She crosses her arms in front of her chest and pouts. ] I hate being this short.

[wilder]

[he chuckles]

I dunno, I think your size has some advantages.

[persequor]

And a lot of disadvantages too. Everyone thinks they're my mother.

[wilder]

[he snorts]

Don't you try to mother me sometimes?

[persequor]

No.

[wilder]

[HE KNOWS YOU GOT SOME OF THOSE LOOKS FROM CATELYN, but whatever]

But I can see what you mean. People here are weird about that.

[.....says the dude that is looking after you this trip BUT YOU KNOW, DETAILS]

I've already lost count how many people have scolded me. And I haven't done anything. [ Yet. ]

[wilder]

Really? What'd they scold you about?

[persequor]

Last time, washing in the stream.

[wilder]

...Uh, where else are you supposed to wash?

[persequor]

Hell if I know.

[wilder]

Weird people.

[he takes a dramatic sniff!]

And well, to me you smell very fresh! Much better than those who aren't bathing.

[persequor]

These are the only clothes I've got with me. I have to keep them clean.

[wilder]

....Didn't pack, huh?

[persequor]

Didn't have time. I wasn't going to come. Mother wouldn't have given me permission. But when I saw the wagon, I climbed in with Nymeria and hid.

I brought Needle.

[wilder]

[he just chuckles lightly, shaking his head a little. He is not surprised in the slightest nope]

Well good. We can get some practice in if there's time.

[persequor]

Really? [ She perks up immediately. ]

[wilder]

Sure. It'll be a nice breather from giving diplomacy lessons to a friend.

[persequor]

You're teaching diplomacy?

[wilder]

Among other things. Talking to nobility and royalty, public speaking, political affairs, etiquette - you know all those painful lessons?
