Terre Haute

[Today, our intrepid explorers have finally made it to Terre Haute. It’s mostly grassland, and on the outskirts small spotted lions, about the size of leopards prowl around. They seem to be more interested in the strange antelope running around than in any people, however. Towards the edge, lies a cliff face, looking out to sea, on occasion giant whales can be seen breaching the water.

Of the weird thing they came to look for, in the distance is a cylindrical shape, lying on its side. But between them and it is a strange village. One made up of excessively tall wooden huts, all of which have electric lights, turned on, though how they’re creating such power is a mystery, they are still very much inside the dead zone.

The residents of this off little village are wandering around, going about their buisess. The residents being a group of bemused looking giraffes. Perhaps you will even see some familiar non-giraffe faces milling about.

[She points out towards where the thing should be lying.]

The big thing out there! It fell from the sky about two weeks ago, and minutes later, there was a horrible earthquake!

[She blinks up at you. So the giraffes can talk!]

Why would I have an information processor, or a patch? That sounds like something a machine would have, and I am most definitely not a machine.

It had to have been built by somebody else - and recently enough for it to be in such a state! [She shakes her head.] I can barely wrap my head around it all!

After all, Vereesa knows he's not addressing her. Surely he has more manners than that. Surely he knows how to address a woman. An elf! He can't possibly be that rude!]

[She's still perched atop the tree statue (what a strange thing to have a statue of! why not just plant a tree?) when she hears her name being called by a familiar voice. Glancing down only confirms his identity, and her expression softens.]

Allen!

[She leaps down in front of him, landing as gracefully as any other elf.]

That's terrible... What happened to the castle? The city? Are things all right?

Is he a skull? Because you will find skulls are very useful in protecting the brain from blunt force trauma.
