Terre Haute

[Today, our intrepid explorers have finally made it to Terre Haute. It’s mostly grassland, and on the outskirts small spotted lions, about the size of leopards prowl around. They seem to be more interested in the strange antelope running around than in any people, however. Towards the edge, lies a cliff face, looking out to sea, on occasion giant whales can be seen breaching the water.

Of the weird thing they came to look for, in the distance is a cylindrical shape, lying on its side. But between them and it is a strange village. One made up of excessively tall wooden huts, all of which have electric lights, turned on, though how they’re creating such power is a mystery, they are still very much inside the dead zone.

The residents of this off little village are wandering around, going about their buisess. The residents being a group of bemused looking giraffes. Perhaps you will even see some familiar non-giraffe faces milling about.

[She's still perched atop the tree statue (what a strange thing to have a statue of! why not just plant a tree?) when she hears her name being called by a familiar voice. Glancing down only confirms his identity, and her expression softens.]

Allen!

[She leaps down in front of him, landing as gracefully as any other elf.]

What is this place?

[it really is her- and what more she seems to remember him right now! Or thinks that she's a giraffe for that matter either! Extra bonus!]

[He'll smile and rub the back of his neck]

This is Terre Haute. We just arrived here today. Did you too?

[sworn]

[The name seems a bit familiar from the crude maps she'd kept, but she still doesn't understand how she arrived here. She was certain she was nearly on the opposite side of the continent.]

I did, though not of my own will. [She furrows her brows] I was certain we were nowhere near this place.

[He frowns a little] Is that so? Where were you before- your own world?

[sworn]

Yes and no. My sisters and I were exploring the Dead Zone when the earth was disturbed. [Her tone sounds sadder] We became separated. At some point between then and now, I found myself on Azeroth. When I woke, I was here in this strange town.

All three of you?

[Oh man...so they are out there somewhere lost?]

It's been two weeks since that earthquake for us. We came out here to investigate the source and found this town on the way.

[sworn]

[She looks honestly taken aback by that.]

By the Light, two weeks? So much time has passed already.

[She's without her map, so she can only assume that her sisters still have theirs. She knows better than to worry about them, and yet she can't help it. Vereesa only hopes that she'll find them soon enough.]

Yes, that's right...I suppose going home made it seem like much less.

[He knows how disorienting it could be. But if she was out in the dead zone wandering, how many others were? And what happened to the other Windrunners?]

You can come back with us when we go to Paradisa. We haven't heard from your sisters, but at least you'd have our company..

[sworn]

[She nods, though a bit defeated.]

I suppose that is the best course of action for now. Given that we still do not know what caused the tremors exactly, I dare not be foolish enough to venture out on my own.

[He meanwhile feels bad. She must be so worried about her sisters, even if she doesn't show it]

Mm, and it would be good to have you along with us too. [Since hey, Windrunners? Badass archers]

What region were you in before?

[sworn]

We were exploring the northern regions. At first, we had set off west until we reached the coast. Lastlook, if I recall the name correctly. After that, we headed north, though at a considerably slower pace.

Really? [a small smile, he had been to last look- he wonders by how far they missed one another]

I've been to LastLook, but not the northern part besides Cair Libet. What's it like?

[sworn]

[The change in topic is certainly welcome.]

Colder, as you would imagine. Unfortunately there was not much that we encountered in our travels, but perhaps sometime I can share with you and the others what we did find.

[He grins at that] I'd like that! I love hearing more about what's out there.
