[This afternoon, the quirky merriment at Terre Haute has something very sudden cutting its way in. There's the very distinct sound of an explosion. It shakes the ground with a small tremor for but a brief moment. Those who are looking at a certain monolith in the distance may see that there is now smoke coming from it, parts of it crumbling and tearing away as black smoke begin to fill the air.
Something's happening at that strange "thing" that fell from the sky. But what? Dare you disregard the unsettling feeling that may begin to steadily fill the air?]

Giotto sighs at that tiny sorry, and produces a handkerchief, holding it out to him.] Bambino, what are you apologizing for now?
[Hopefully it was for him running off like that and worrying them all.]

[He reaches out and takes the handkerchief, wiping at his eyes. He takes a deep breath, collecting himself.]
I shouldn't be like this. Upset and.. [Heh.] crying. Not when there's a battle going on.

Zelos!
[Shit, they'd just-- left him there! Was he okay, did he find someone else to back him up? Tsuna starts to get up instinctively, because he needs to find him, he needs to know he's okay and that they didn't leave him for dead.]

He'll be fine, Tsuna. You were probably distracting him as it was.
no subject
[Tsuna tugs desperately on his arm.]
I just-- I need to make sure he's okay! [He'll never forgive himself if...]
no subject
...Fine. But we can't go too near.
[He's not exactly happy about this, but he doesn't want Zelos to get injured or worse because he pullee Tsuna away.]

Thank goodness...
[Now that he knows Zelos is okay, his legs want to give out on him, but he knows even this isn't a safe distance to be. So he nods.]
Thank you, Giotto.
[He backs off, turning his eyes away from the fighting because he knew it'd probably make him sick.]

Sorry. I didn't mean to worry you.
[He winces when he remembers Reborn telling him to stay back, and even though he was so dead set on going, he can still hear him.
"Damn it, Tsuna!"
He'd actually sounded upset. Almost afraid. Guilt hit him like a freight train.]
...Reborn...
no subject
At Reborn's name, he looks up at Tsuna, fixing him with a serious expression.] He's the one who told me you ran off and requested I find you. He thought you would listen to me far more than you were listening to him.
no subject
He told me not to go. He knew I wasn't ready. I'm such an idiot...

I should apologize. [He looks up, back towards the fight, where he knew his tutor would be.]

[He follows his line of sight, watching. Hopefully there was an after.]
If they overwhelm the village, we'll have to pull back and leave.

He blinks and looks at his hand, because he'd been touching his face earlier, and sure enough, there was gross, yellowish-greenish blood on it.
He jerks suddenly, bile rising to his throat, and he gets off his seat and stumbles away so he can at least vomit behind the side of the counter.]

[Meanwhile he's disappearing around the counter to look for something for him to drink. Preferably something that isn't juice.]
no subject
Absent-mindedly, he grabs his dagger off the counter and sheathes it.]
no subject
[He slides a glass of plain apple juice over to get the taste of bile out of his mouth. And then he looks out to see how the battle was going. The line was still far away. They had some time before they should probably pull back farther.]
no subject
Then he drinks, taking a few generous gulps of the juice. His gaze follows Giotto's, and he silently looks at the far away battle.]

... I don't know.
[He felt like he'd been fighting blindly, all instinct and survival. Even now, everything was a blur.]
