[This afternoon, the quirky merriment at Terre Haute has something very sudden cutting its way in. There's the very distinct sound of an explosion. It shakes the ground with a small tremor for but a brief moment. Those who are looking at a certain monolith in the distance may see that there is now smoke coming from it, parts of it crumbling and tearing away as black smoke begin to fill the air.

Something's happening at that strange "thing" that fell from the sky. But what? Dare you disregard the unsettling feeling that may begin to steadily fill the air?]

[Lloyd's actions will cause the first collector to fall over, too much organ rupture and hilt to the fact to really keep moving. And the slash at the back of the bug holding Zelos is effective. It loosens it's grip enough to let go of Zelos, who stumbles back as the collector staggers forward from the force and pain of the blow]

...Thanks. [It's said with only a slight grumbly tone, since it is a bit embarrassing he let himself get grabbed like that. But at least he seems to be okay overall and recovering his footing enough to try for another attack in attempts to bring that effer down.]

[Natural chitin can only do so much against pointy enchanted swords. The bug thing clutches its middle as it falls, not suffering from pain so much as its body not working anymore. Bugs, man. Bugs are weird.

Lloyd glances at the first Collector with a frown. It's unfortunate that he had to actually kill someone. Or something. He's not sure, but it still bothers him.

They'd tried to communicate, but it was like-- like trying to reason with crazed animals.]

Zelos, are you okay?

[We're in the Dead Zone, bb, no enchants- but yes the bug is totally dead. Zelos meanwhile doesn't feel any bother from killing the bug guy, or at least doesn't show any. He doubts whatever that thing had any nice plans for him if he had been successful in taking him]

[Weird that it seemed more interested in grabbing him than killing him though. He was pretty sure he was even open for a long moment there too...]

[But Lloyd's concern has him uncomfortable. So the answer of course is to push it off by being overdramatic. ]

Are you kidding? That jerk thought he could kidnap the great Zelos Wilder! Talk about serious nerve!

Looks like things are back to normal for the Chosen. Lloyd is back to scouting the battlefield, seeing if they can cover some of the people running away.]

That's the first time something's tried to grab us instead of killing us. I don't know what that means, but it's probably nothing good.

[Maybe WITH tea, if these are classy insect men. But details. Either way, he's scanning too, when he sees a couple left open to trying get into the city, he'll point]
