[This afternoon, the quirky merriment at Terre Haute has something very sudden cutting its way in. There's the very distinct sound of an explosion. It shakes the ground with a small tremor for but a brief moment. Those who are looking at a certain monolith in the distance may see that there is now smoke coming from it, parts of it crumbling and tearing away as black smoke begin to fill the air.

Something's happening at that strange "thing" that fell from the sky. But what? Dare you disregard the unsettling feeling that may begin to steadily fill the air?]

[Oh hey it's here! He'll give a little smirk]

Hey there. Come to fight?

What else is there to do? [She smirked back. Having Zelos by her side gave her a bit of confidence. He looks like a good fighter]

It appears our new friends would put up a fight. I don't need my Persona to tell they're going to have some resistance to our blades.

Ahaha, I guess so.

[They seem to be getting closer, very soon they will be in range] Yeah- they do seem kinda bug like huh?

[Mitsuru used her binoculars to get a better look. It's a good thing she brought these along, apparently]

They are indeed. They seem to have some kind of organic armor.

Good spotting.

[And they're enough in range that they start taking a swing at them with their claws!]

[Mitsuru readied her blade. She glanced at Zelos, thinking about how well can he really fight]

[The one that goes after Zelos he manages to dodge, giving it an attack back at it's hand and cutting into it's hand]

[However there is another reaching for Mitsuru! What do! ]

[Mitsuru sensed an enemy approaching her, she glanced at her side and she stabbed the charging foe at the neck with her sword. Their bodies are denser than those tatamis and they move quicker than humans. Even then, she's not impressed]

Hm.

[She noticed four approaching, one broke off formation to flank Zelos]

You have incoming on your left flank.

[He notices her short work, that was pretty impressive. Then again, she was the woman that fought Mark right? He said she was good]

On it.

[He'll head for the flanker, moving to meet it before it can hit it's flank spot. He gives it no quarter, going in for an attack at it's side with his sword]

[The Collector screeched when Zelos' blade got it's side. It's incapacitated now and is bleeding to death on the ground. Mitsuru noticed the others are getting closer, so she drew her gun and started firing at them. But six shots wouldn't be enough to take the three down.

She fired two shots each, aiming at the neck. Mitsuru only managed to get a lucky shot at one of them, so it fell down on the ground twitching. With the other two, she missed and hit their armor instead, and it barely slowed them down. The two remaining Collectors were both charging at Mitsuru, who just heard her gun click when she pulls the trigger]

Damn it. I'm out.

[Zelos meanwhile was EXTREMELY STARTLED by the sound of gunshots so near him. They make his ears ring, even if he's lucky enough not to have his full hearing that would be downright painful. Still, still unaccustomed to gunshots? He still winces ]

Oh what a pity!

[But whatever, he sees that Mitsuru is going to have problems fast so he moves to intercept on of them with an attack]

[Mitsuru didn't realize the others charging at her were already that close to her and Zelos. Things were going faster than what she's used to. It was a good thing Zelos was there to cover her while she reloads. But there's not a whole lot of time for that, a revolver is a pain to load, so she holsters the gun and lunged at one of the Collectors with the sidesword.

It swung it's left arm at her, which she manages to dodge. She retaliates by driving the sword through it's neck again.]

[He meanwhile manages to reach the Collector of his intent. It throws a claw his way, but he blocks it with his shield. Using that to push it off and stun it, he'll do a follow through attack with a sword slashing across it's chest]

[The Collector with the graze on it's chest screeched. The armor managed to absorb most of the slash. It got pushed back, but it quickly recovered and attempts to tackle Zelos down, but Mitsuru managed to stab it in the eyes in time. Sorry for the blood spurt, Zelos.]

[it's cool blood spurts happen! He meanwhile gets into a defensive position as the bug moves in to tackle, with his shield forward. When it gets close enough, he throw out a stab at it's abdomen]

[Mitsuru's sword didn't manage to kill it yet, it was still flailing, and it managed to scratch her in the shoulder. But when Zelos stabbed it in the abdomen, it finally stopped moving]
