[This afternoon, the quirky merriment at Terre Haute has something very sudden cutting its way in. There's the very distinct sound of an explosion. It shakes the ground with a small tremor for but a brief moment. Those who are looking at a certain monolith in the distance may see that there is now smoke coming from it, parts of it crumbling and tearing away as black smoke begin to fill the air.

Something's happening at that strange "thing" that fell from the sky. But what? Dare you disregard the unsettling feeling that may begin to steadily fill the air?]

[Well, this didn't look good. Danny was starting to really wish that he could use his ghost powers here. He eyes the figures warily.]

So... anyone know what those things are? I'm guessing they're not here for the costume party.

Nobody does.

Stay back, Danny.

Got it. Staying back! [He gives her a mock salute.]

[Mitsuru stood in front of Danny, drawing her sword]

[He lowers himself into a crouch and waits.]

[Mitsuru looked behind her to see Danny looking ready to fight. It wasn't what she meant by stay back, but she realizes she wasn't clear in the first place.]

Are you sure you are willing to fight, Danny? Do you have a weapon?

[He shrugs. There had never been a question in his mind that he was going to fight. Even if he didn't have his ghost side here, he was still a hero.]

I have the thermos. Not that its going to be much use here.

Thermos?

It catches ghosts. Normally, I mean.

I hope it works...

Actually, its just a block of metal right now. [He grins sheepishly.] One of those things that doesn't work in the dead zone, you know?

I see... Do you know how to use a sword?

Sort of? I mean, I've used one before.

There's no time. Here. [She quickly hands Danny her own sword]

Just aim at that soft area around their neck. It appears vulnerable enough to damage them. I'll fire at them with my gun.

[One Collector turned it's head and screeched. It saw them and now it's charging at the two]

[He eyes it uncertainly, but grabs for it as he sees the collector approaching.]

Guess we're testing that out right now!

[Danny swings the sword up in a two handed grip and charges. He moves lightly on his feet as he runs, almost as if he expected to be leaping into the air at any moment.]

[Danny got the Collector at it's weak spot. It screeched loudly as it tried to swing it's claws at Danny before it lands on the ground. It's still alive]

Danny, get back!

[Mitsuru aimed at the Collector bleeding on the ground. She fired two shots until it stopped twitching]

[Danny ducks down low to the ground when he hears the shots go off.]

[The Collector dropped down to the ground, twitching for a second until it finally stopped. Mitsuru reloads her revolver and approached Danny]

Are you alright? I hope the noise wasn't too much.

[He's already climbing back to his feet.]

Oh, I'm fine. Just figured I should get out of the way.

[Since he was human right now.]

Good. It seems they ran away. They must have realized how much of a disadvantage they are in.

Let's go regroup with the rest.

That's convenient. [He blinks.]

Oh, sure. You want this sword back?

A little too convenient... [She frowns. She has a bad feeling there's something up with how they just retreated like that. They may have guns and swords, but the Collectors were still tough enough to take them all on easily]

Of course. [She extends her hand to get her weapon back while holstering her gun]

[He hands it back as he looks around warily.]

So... what happens now?
