Terre Haute

[Today, our intrepid explorers have finally made it to Terre Haute. It’s mostly grassland, and on the outskirts small spotted lions, about the size of leopards prowl around. They seem to be more interested in the strange antelope running around than in any people, however. Towards the edge, lies a cliff face, looking out to sea, on occasion giant whales can be seen breaching the water.

Of the weird thing they came to look for, in the distance is a cylindrical shape, lying on its side. But between them and it is a strange village. One made up of excessively tall wooden huts, all of which have electric lights, turned on, though how they’re creating such power is a mystery, they are still very much inside the dead zone.

The residents of this off little village are wandering around, going about their buisess. The residents being a group of bemused looking giraffes. Perhaps you will even see some familiar non-giraffe faces milling about.

[ Her smile is pinched, an attempt to keep from looking too entertained in favor of diplomacy. ]

Another woman who is a soldier, and an elf no less. I find myself astounded with every step I take in this land, be it by the flora or fauna. You claim such a noble position, but I see no army here. Or is there even more to this village than what appears?

[There's a brief pause in the conversation, because Vereesa doesn't quite understand the question. And then she gets it. This woman believes her to be a native to the town. The very thought! A high elf looks nothing like a giraffe.]

I would not know, to tell you the truth. I simply arrived here from my own world much like you have from your own.

[ Wait what, you mean this person is useless? Well... She said she's a Ranger-General. While that's not a regular title, she knows well what a General is. Maybe this lady could whip some warriors out of the group if she joined them. ]

We have all...come from our native realms, it is true, but after that we traveled here from Paradisa. You did not come with us, I am sure I would remember. Are you...one of the First Generation I hear tell of, then?

[sworn]

[She has a feeling she's going to be explaining this many times.]

Certainly not. I once resided in Paradisa as well, but my sisters and I left in search of answers. I was with them not long ago, until something disrupted the earth and we were separated. I cannot recall what happened next, but when I woke, I found myself here.

[ Anne's expression sobers considerably at the mention of the earthquake. ]

The city suffered the worst of the calamity, I fear. Many have stayed behind to continue to help the citizens rebuild and heal, while others wished to venture out into this realm beyond to discover what tore at this land so.

You are most welcome to join us in this progress, General Windrunner, in the least until you happen upon your beloved sisters, God be with them.

[It's not like she can really do anything else. She doesn't know where her sisters are, and she can't return to Lady Jaina Proudmoore's side. Could she venture out on her own? Perhaps. Would it be the wisest choice? No.]
