Terre Haute

[Today, our intrepid explorers have finally made it to Terre Haute. It’s mostly grassland, and on the outskirts small spotted lions, about the size of leopards prowl around. They seem to be more interested in the strange antelope running around than in any people, however. Towards the edge, lies a cliff face, looking out to sea, on occasion giant whales can be seen breaching the water.

Of the weird thing they came to look for, in the distance is a cylindrical shape, lying on its side. But between them and it is a strange village. One made up of excessively tall wooden huts, all of which have electric lights, turned on, though how they’re creating such power is a mystery, they are still very much inside the dead zone.

The residents of this off little village are wandering around, going about their buisess. The residents being a group of bemused looking giraffes. Perhaps you will even see some familiar non-giraffe faces milling about.

I wouldn't follow someone I hadn't met. That would just be very rude on their part.

They are very nice. Do you see this big one? It means I'm very intelligent and also beautiful

Haha, yeah I can see that! I bet you're a real hit with all the lady giraffes.

Anyway! I should probably let you get back to your hard work! Though...one last question- about two weeks ago we saw something fall from the sky in this direction and it caused a big earthquake in our region. You know anything about that?

I am a real hit at the juice bar.

[Good job, Zelos, you didn't insult the giraffe]

Oh yes, it's far out in the grasslands. It's just sat there, really. None of us wished to go near it, it did not interrupt our work.

I'm not at all surprised!

Really huh? So no one's investigated it?

Why would we? It's all so very far out. We don't want to risk being outside when it gets dark.

Does something happen after dark?

[paradisamods]

The dark is a bad place. It's much better to sit in the light under ceiling fans talking about sorbet.

What are there monsters or just...regular old darkness?

[paradisamods]

We giraffes do not like the dark.

[wilder]

[......this is getting nowhere]

Ahahah...right. Okay, got it.

[gives a wave and starts moving for the door! ]
