Terre Haute

[Today, our intrepid explorers have finally made it to Terre Haute. It’s mostly grassland, and on the outskirts small spotted lions, about the size of leopards prowl around. They seem to be more interested in the strange antelope running around than in any people, however. Towards the edge, lies a cliff face, looking out to sea, on occasion giant whales can be seen breaching the water.

Of the weird thing they came to look for, in the distance is a cylindrical shape, lying on its side. But between them and it is a strange village. One made up of excessively tall wooden huts, all of which have electric lights, turned on, though how they’re creating such power is a mystery, they are still very much inside the dead zone.

The residents of this off little village are wandering around, going about their buisess. The residents being a group of bemused looking giraffes. Perhaps you will even see some familiar non-giraffe faces milling about.

It's a sort of... mechanical staircase that carries one up it without them having to walk themselves. A testament to man's desire to travel without having to actually move.

[He frowns slightly, reaching out a hand to steady her should she need it]

[ That's a relief! Ken waves off the question, a small smile cracking his face. ]

Someone else in your group approached me a few minutes ago. It was the first thing I could think of to ask... It's been a while from my point of view, but I live at the castle too.

[She looks where he's pointing and shakes her head.] It's not a theory.

Fact one: The mirror casts a reflection, which gives the person looking at it information on how they look.
Fact two: You're changing the reflection, which changes that information.
Fact three: The person looking at their reflection sees the change and gets new information.

Those are the facts.

Why you're doing it and how the people react? Those would be theories since I don't have all the facts for that--although in my case, I was confused when I saw my change and had to double check to make sure everything was how I remembered it.

[ She pulls away as if burned, her voice rising in pitch and laugh gone and carried with the wind over the cliff. ]

I am well and good, how could you think otherwise with me showcasing my mirth so openly?! And I did not give you leave to lay a hand on me, sir!

Indeed. [Of course he's alright. How could he be otherwise. It was only a bump, after all. His eyes raise and he sees Mitsuru behind the strange man. He gives her a nod in greeting]

[He spreads his hands, taking a step backwards and bowing his head briefly]

My apologies, Ma'am. I was only concerned for your safety this close to the cliff.

[He may be a cocky bastard but he knows better than to act that way around the Queen.]

[ Smug little smile at that comment. ]

[ Smile is gone when he talks about Skull though. ]

[After dealing with the mirror room jerks, Zelos has decided to get a bit of air and investigate the sculpture...which makes no sense at all to him]

Why would you make a wood sculpture of a tree?

[Sherlock is standing a few feet away, his hands in his pockets, calm as can be. This is a good time for him to drop in, right?]

Come on, now. It's just a zoo with a few cages missing.

[ She huffs a little, then realizes she's bunched her skirt up in her fists, and quickly smooths the fabric out while turning back around to stare at the giant creatures down below. At least this air is something familiar to her, but it brings little comfort in the wake of such an insane situation. ]

I am not...in danger. I would not fall. And if I were to...

[ Leaning over more, so precariously, and taking in a trembling breath before turning again and walking away from the cliffside, muttering offhandedly not even caring how crazy she must sound. ]

Worry not, I would not abandon the people so. There are still so many shirts to make.

[ Oh, it's perfect. If only a bunch of other people weren't around as witnesses! Then again, what does she care who sees... This is her dream. They're her people. Even he's hers, the maggot. It would be unhealthy to let him rot up her brain.

She stops laughing to smile sweetly, but then...really not. ]

You should feel no hesitation in going to investigate them all, then.

Very well. [She clears her throat and glances at Larry. She's curious and a little concerned]

[He very pointedly pulls away from that touch, almost startled by her hand on his side.]

Oh hello again, James. [She nods in response]

[He watches like a hawk as she leans in... relieved when she turns. Wait... did she just say something about SHIRTS?]

Shirts, Ma'am? [He takes a step, intending to follow her before realizing she may not want him to]

[Sup Cass. The Once-ler will be watching from the sidelines, a touch worried]

Um...Cass? You-you know those are lions right?

[He chuckles and lets her push him away.]

Still not fond of me, hmm?

Hm-hm. The houses in that town were more constrictive than the tents.

[ She looks irritated now, like he should know or something. ]

Yes, of course. I am making shirts for the orphans of the recent tragedy. Should I halt simply because an animal might soon walk up to me and offer some wine?

At least they are not wearing shirts themselves!
