Terre Haute Expedition: Paradisa Town

[After a long few days of traveling, the expedition team has reached past it's halfway point! And as such, they decide to make rest at a place that had once been the target of a previous expedition:]


Paradisa Town

[A small cutesy village that once served as a world change location, it has now been abandoned of all it's previous residents. Though it's condition hardly looks like a place that hasn't been lived in for years- instead it has the condition that everyone just stepped out for awhile. There are more than enough small houses to fit everyone, so it's a nice break from sleeping on the ground (for some anyway). It's also a good place to stock up if you're one of those explorers that forgot things such as food and spare clothing. That is, if you don't mind peaches and fish and really gaudy clothing.]

It's a shame that we don't actually have one with us. I mean, I'm trying to get what I can, but... well, let's just say that this isn't museum quality.

[Sounds a bit exasperated with herself, but when she turns towards Ashley, she's tries not to appear too down]

But, hey, it's better than nothing. Besides, we have a few artist types back at the castle - maybe they can turn this into something useful.

Hey, you're better than I am. It'd be all stick figures and scribbles if I did it.

I'm just trying to remember the details so I can tell Mom. She'll be so interested in these things.

Your mom? Wait, are you two here together? I mean, I know some people meet their friends here, but I've never heard of a family getting pulled to Paradisa together.

[Ooor her mom could be back at their home, wherever it is. But, what normal person would believe stories about a magic castle and eight-legged sheep?]

Yeah, she's been here longer than I have, but she's back at the castle. She'll want a whole report when we get back.

[ well, honestly, helen would believe the eight-legged sheep bit at least. ashley's confident of that much. ]

I bet she must know loads about the castle, then. Has she been on any of the expeditions before, or do you just go for her?

She might. I dunno, never asked. [ mostly because things have been complicated from what she can see. ] Maybe I'll get her to come on the next one.

[Never asked? Huh, that's odd. If she was in her shoes, she'd be asking all sorts of questions. However, even Utena has enough tact not to press that issue]

Well, good luck with that. I mean, I don't know how she feels about the castle, but it must be nice to get away from it once in a while. Anyway, what about you? Is this your first one, or have you been here before?

Yeah, I'll ask her to go on the next one. [ whenever it is. ] Nah, this is my first one. Dragged James with me, too. We needed to get out. [ or he dragged her. she's not sure which it was anymore. ]

I don't blame you - I mean, with all the stuff that's been going on with the castle, I think everybody could use a break.
