Terre Haute Expedition: Paradisa Town

[After a long few days of traveling, the expedition team has reached past it's halfway point! And as such, they decide to make rest at a place that had once been the target of a previous expedition:]


Paradisa Town
Note: Talking Animal People and Actually Happy Once-ler Not Included

[A small cutesy village that once served as a world change location, it has now been abandoned of all it's previous residents. Though it's condition hardly looks like a place that hasn't been lived in for years- instead it has the condition that everyone just stepped out for awhile. There are more than enough small houses to fit everyone, so it's a nice break from sleeping on the ground (for some anyway). It's also a good place to stock up if you're one of those explorers that forgot things such as food and spare clothing. That is, if you don't mind peaches and fish and really gaudy clothing.]

[Bathe? In the river? Hell no. Where people can see? Double hell no.

But being clean would be nice, so he's down near a more shallow section of water with a bucket he's borrowed from somewhere, though by the looks of him, he hasn't quite gotten past the stage of thinking about what he's going to do next. He looks a little ill about it too]

[After she's gone for a dip and changed, Galadriel took it upon herself to stroll the length of the river.]

Felix? [His discomfort is rather obvious, even if the source of it is less so.] Are you quite well?

[When is he ever?

His hands fidget a bit around the handle of the bucket, looking up at her with a slight flush of embarrassment]

Um...fine. [liar] I was just going to collect some water.

[She gives him a skeptical look. You really don't look fine, bro.]

You are certain?

[Oh no don't look at him like that]

Yes, of course.

[Said a bit to quickly, and still unable to move from the spot he's rooted himself to on the bank]

Felix... [Honestly, lying to her never works well. But whatever. It's his choice. After a moment's consideration, she waves her hand dismissively.] Your business is your own.

[Oh goddammit...]

I am not very fond of rivers.

[Ah, that makes more sense.]

And I assume that ponds are not a great improvement.

No. And not helpful if I don't want stagnant water.

[Or people watching him have a fit, given the greater traffic the pond was getting]

I could fill the bucket for you, if you wish. It would be no trouble.

[Hesitantly joking] As long as it wouldn't be beneath a lady of your station.

It is never beneath a lady to help a friend in need.

[He clears his throat and holds the bucket out to her, glancing away slightly.]

[She takes the bucket and steps to the bank, filling it and handing it back with a little smile.]

There.

[He holds out a hand to take it from her]

I don't mean to be an inconvenience.

You are not. [And she means it. It's a such a little thing, to her mind.] Do not let it trouble you.
