Terre Haute Expedition: Paradisa Town

[After a long few days of traveling, the expedition team has reached past it's halfway point! And as such, they decide to make rest at a place that had once been the target of a previous expedition:]


Paradisa Town
Note: Talking Animal People and Actually Happy Once-ler Not Included

[A small cutesy village that once served as a world change location, it has now been abandoned of all it's previous residents. Though it's condition hardly looks like a place that hasn't been lived in for years- instead it has the condition that everyone just stepped out for awhile. There are more than enough small houses to fit everyone, so it's a nice break from sleeping on the ground (for some anyway). It's also a good place to stock up if you're one of those explorers that forgot things such as food and spare clothing. That is, if you don't mind peaches and fish and really gaudy clothing.]

[ She did it with Clementine, who's even younger! Nobody drinks water in her time, okay. It's disgusting.

Do you promise not to wander far?

Will you come with me while I explore?

[ She looks over her shoulder, then back down to Ted. He's young, but not that young. He should have no trouble helping her down, even with all her skirts, she's still a petite lady.

Unhooking her boot from the stirrup, both legs already swung over one side, she reaches down with her good arm for him. ]

Perhaps we will find a fey ring.

[well he's never helped a woman off a horse before, so this should be fun]

What's a fey ring?

[ She'll do as much as she can herself, but it is difficult when her right arm has limited movement. At least, without her showing the pain. ]

Or elf ring. It is a special area created when the fey dance. It would appear as a ring of flowers, or even mushrooms.

[and he will do his best to hold onto her]

That sounds amazing! I hope we find one.

[ Whoop, there she goes, sliding down right in front of him. Okay back up a bit so her bosom isn't right in your poor prepubescent face, Ted, there we go. Where to tie her horse up? ]

There is no telling. But we must be quiet while we explore if we stand a chance.

[he manages not to topple over, but just barely. Hello sudden woman almost sitting on his face]

I can do that.

[ She's going to make sure to wander far from the sheep, to tie the horse up to a tree so he can graze. ]

Where do you wish to explore first?

[findatree]

Let's go outside the town. There should be more nature out there.

[ensorceler]

[ With a teasing smile, Anne curtsies in play. ]

Then I will follow you, gracious sir.

[he offers his arm, pretending to tip a hat to her as they start walking]

[ensorceler]

[ She giggles in humor as she accepts his arm to follow. ]

Why did you choose to join this progress, Ted?

[findatree]

The Once-ler wanted me along. I guess he didn't want me alone in the castle.

[ensorceler]

How did you come to be his charge?

[findatree]

I went to see him back home. No one else even bothered to leave town, but I drove all the way to his Lurkin.

[ensorceler]

Lurkin?

[findatree]

Where he lived. It's this tall building with lots of warning signs and booby traps.

[ensorceler]

He lived all alone, then? With no one to visit him? That is too sad.

[findatree]

Before me, he was alone. I'm glad he's got a lot of friends here...

[ensorceler]

Does he? That warms my heart, for I understand it is difficult for geniuses to socialize as well as others. But he seemed quite pleasant and social enough with me.

[findatree]

[Ted doesn't really think being a genius was the problem :x]

No, he wasn't really so bad when I knew him, either. Once he stopped trying to get rid of me.

[ensorceler]

Who would dare be rid of such a charming boy?

[findatree]

[he laughs, looking pleased and embarrassed]

I think he was just alone for too long. But I think he liked me after a while.

[ensorceler]

He must like you quite grandly to invite you and you alone with him on this venture. Now I must pray that my presence is not an unwelcome intrusion on your evenings.
