Terre Haute Expedition: Paradisa Town

[After a long few days of traveling, the expedition team has reached past it's halfway point! And as such, they decide to make rest at a place that had once been the target of a previous expedition:]

[A small cutesy village that once served as a world change location, it has now been abandoned of all it's previous residents. Though it's condition hardly looks like a place that hasn't been lived in for years- instead it has the condition that everyone just stepped out for awhile. There are more than enough small houses to fit everyone, so it's a nice break from sleeping on the ground (for some anyway). It's also a good place to stock up if you're one of those explorers that forgot things such as food and spare clothing. That is, if you don't mind peaches and fish and really gaudy clothing.]

[Lemony is walking the aisles of Tom Nook's, appraising the items on the shelves and making idle notes of the inventory in his journal]

This reminds me somewhat of the Last Chance Superette ... though I do wonder why they thought gingham was a fashionable choice.

Gingham is never fashionable. [And there's Giotto in another aisle, looking to see if anything of use or note in this store. He pokes his head around the end of the aisle to look at Lemony.]

And whatever is the Last Chance Superette?

Oh, it is a general store, back home. It is called such because it is the only store of its kind for severwl miles, and thus the only place a traveler can replenish their supplies.

...Sounds accurate. Though I assume it's more helpful than this place seems to be. [He stares at the strange brightly colored furniture they were selling.]

Indeed. Not much of this is exactly what I would call easily portable, or even essential.

Well, this is a small town and this seems to be the only store. But you would think they would have something like food or soap. [So far, he's only seen furniture and clothes, and oddly, one umbrella.]

[ Anne must explore, and this is the first on her top for now, because...supplies! Of some off things, to be sure, but she makes note of the clothing and other items, noticing Lemony writing down something.

Not knowing who else might be listening, she raises her voice so it carries a bit more. ]

These supplies are going to waste here. We ought to take what we can carry. What cannot be used by us can surely be used by the survivors back at the city. Even this strange clothing... It can be altered.

How very humanitarian of you... Though, I'm uncertain what we'll find at Terre Haute.... Perhaps we could stop on the return trip to gather things for the townspeople?

Perhaps I can get in touch with one of the volunteers who stayed behind, and ask them which items in the inventory I've taken could be of use. Then we do not run the risk of burdening ourselves with unnecessary cargo.

Considering everyone we have traveling with us, that would be a very extensive and complicated list. To say nothing of those who like to keep their belongings private.
