After packing up camp and heading up, they reach their destination only an hour north.

The tomb is just a little off the road, a massive door with intricate carvings around the frame in an unknown script. The characters in the script are made up entirely by straight lines. Given that straight lines lend themselves well to carving, it may indicate that whoever created this script was used to carving in stone. The door looks like it will open, as the hinges are intact, but it's ridiculously heavy and will need a lot of people to pull on those big carved handles.

Didn't kill her? You must really be a lousy shot, then. [He winks with a laugh]

Oh, yes. Somehow I think there are some things that are constants in any universe.

[He is a terrible shot actually, but he just nods, grinning in his unnerving way a little bit.]

That's comforting. I guess.

[Oddly enough, that grin doesn't unnerve him in the least. He grins crookedly right back]

It means that our universes may not be as different as many would like to believe.

As long as the sky's still blue and grass is still green, I think we'll do alright.

Oh, I don't know. I don't think the colors have much to do with it. I've been to some incredible places with differently colored skies and plant life.

Now, that's really something. The most I've been to is -- well, the Baba Yaga's world. Which wasn't that great.

[He leans back on the podium, looking a little wistful]

My home planet had a burnt orange sky. The trees were silver.

Jeez. Makes Earth sound a little dull.

[He laughs] Oh don't sell it short. Earth is still one of my favorite places to visit.

Like vacationing in the country, huh?

Something like that [he laughs] Though it usually ends up with me saving it.

Something we've got in common.

Oh? [He arches an eyebrow, waiting for Hellboy to elaborate]

[Oh, ha ... he'd meant that as an offhanded comment, but, well, it couldn't be helped. Some people were more curious than others.]

Let's just say that if I weren't around to guard something, it might fall into the wrong hands. And then the world would probably end.

Aaah. Another end of the world situation. I hardly go a week without having to save a city or a planet or some such.

I certainly wish you continued luck when you return.

Yeah. It's kind of a pain.

[He nods, anyway.] Sure. In the meantime though, let's focus on keeping horrible disasters from happening here too, yeah?

[He smiles, nodding knowingly.]

Of course. [He pats the altar he's still leaning against.] It's clean, of course. No ancient booby traps. Though I'll be certain to keep my eye out for them.

[He winks]

Ha. Alright, if you say so.
