(no subject)

After packing up camp and heading up, they reach their destination only an hour north.

The tomb is just a little off the road, a massive door with intricate carvings around the frame in an unknown script. The characters in the script are made up entirely by straight lines. Given that straight lines lend themselves well to carving, it may indicate that whoever created this script was used to carving in stone. The door looks like it will open, as the hinges are intact, but it's ridiculously heavy and will need a lot of people to pull on those big carved handles.

Heave ho?

Is it horrible of me to say this is somehow par for the course?

[Seriously, it is. He has been on enough of these to find this as somewhat cliche, if not expected, but no less irritating or worrying. He's just hiding it well.]

Damnit, this is why I posted guards! But no, even that's asking too much to let us have back-up.

[He chuckles wryly at the other's consternation.]

Clearly. The Tomb seems to have other plans.

You're making it sound sentient, like the castle.

Why should it not be?

[Cocks a brow at Jr.]

...Mm. Good point. But I'm still open to believe anything at this point.

True enough.

And from the stories I have read, I can only imagine the... obstacles in this place.

There are always obstacles. Traps. Mazes. You name it.

Well, I am sure we all can handle it.
