After packing up camp and heading up, they reach their destination only an hour north.

The tomb is just a little off the road, a massive door with intricate carvings around the frame in an unknown script. The characters in the script are made up entirely by straight lines. Given that straight lines lend themselves well to carving, it may indicate that whoever created this script was used to carving in stone. The door looks like it will open, as the hinges are intact, but it's ridiculously heavy and will need a lot of people to pull on those big carved handles.

[ Watching her for a second, but... he's pretty sure... ]

I mean, I don't think it's just going to open up if we push it a little. Though...

[ Looking around at all the people here. ]

she's going to be at this for a little while longer, though, because wow, this is definitely not as planned. ]

[Hey, at least one person out of fifty heard you ask for help. The bad news is that Rose didn't come over here with intentions to push. She's more of a motivator.]

[ Still pushing HE WON'T GIVE UP. ]

[ might sound a little panicky. ]

[Oh, alright. Rose isn't going to just stand there and watch them struggle. She steps forward and gives it a halfhearted push, but still looks doubtful.]

It seemed to close itself. Magic, most likely.

[ she sounds uncertain. ] But that's not supposed to work out here! We can't really be stuck!

[ Stops once Rose helping doesn't work. Looking thoughtful. ]

Well... not exactly! I think it works in some areas, and kind of travels around the Dead Zone, but I don't know exactly how it works.

[ thumping halfheartedly against the stone. ]

...That figures. It figures. Ugh!!

It's okay, just because the door here won't open doesn't mean there's not another way out.

[ she slumps down on the ground ]

I really, really hope you're right.

I am sure I am! I mean, there's no way they'd build a building with only one way in and out.

[ Kneeling down next to her and offering a hand, he looks pretty certain about what he's saying here at least. ]

You're pretty sure about that. I dunno, some people are pretty dumb. I mean, if they let that guy with the stupid haircut read the nighly news every day, I'm sure it's just a skip and a hop away from stupid architecture decisions.

[ she is rambling. but she takes his hand anyway, because he seems nice, and he is a kid, and kids are automatically 50% more likely to be trustworthy. ]

[ Standing up straight and trying to hoist her up with him. ]

[ thank you kindly; she's pretty light, so it's probably not too hard. she gets herself righted, and dusts off the seat of her pants. ]

[ she wrinkles her nose and then flaps her hand. ]

Well, it doesn't matter. Just know that he's really stupid-looking and has no talent, and somehow, someone put him in charge of reading the evening news.

[ thoughtful look. ]

Well, I guess you don't really need to be able to act all that well to read the news to people.

Maybe not, but you should at least look presentable!

Haha, yeah! Since that is about half your job in the first place.
