Terre Haute

[Today, our intrepid explorers have finally made it to Terre Haute. It’s mostly grassland, and on the outskirts small spotted lions, about the size of leopards prowl around. They seem to be more interested in the strange antelope running around than in any people, however. Towards the edge, lies a cliff face, looking out to sea, on occasion giant whales can be seen breaching the water.

Of the weird thing they came to look for, in the distance is a cylindrical shape, lying on its side. But between them and it is a strange village. One made up of excessively tall wooden huts, all of which have electric lights, turned on, though how they’re creating such power is a mystery, they are still very much inside the dead zone.

The residents of this off little village are wandering around, going about their buisess. The residents being a group of bemused looking giraffes. Perhaps you will even see some familiar non-giraffe faces milling about.

Quite a bit like you, aren't they? They seem more fragile though, like glass toys.

It's just as weird as their mirror room thing.

Forgive me for overburdening you. I realize you don't recall your previous stay, of course. I only meant to tell you we worked together once. Though I'd be happy to fill you in on whatever I can.

Well, that sort of this is more apt to be passed down orally, but yes...

[Steph looks around, then slowly points at herself. Better than lions??? She hopes so!]

[She's just so smart. Cass closes the last of the distance between the two of them so she can hug Steph.]

Always better.

[secondchances]

[Just as planned. Steph hugs her back, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.]

C'mon, we should check out the town.

[hellofist]

[She leans into Steph's hand and nods, perfectly content to follow her wherever she wants to go.]

Looking for something? Or just looking?

How about both? It would suck to go back empty handed.

[She's pretty sure Stephanie doesn't mean in the literal sense but just to be safe, Cass pulls out of the hug so she can take both of Steph's hands in hers. There, not empty handed.]

[Steph is lost. Very, very lost.]

Huh?

Hands not empty, now.

[secondchances]

[Noooo, that's like the cutest thing ever. Steph laughs.]

Just how I like 'em, but not exactly what I meant. I figured we'd bring back some random stuff to the castle.

[She relinquishes one of Steph's hands and, with one final look back at the lions, starts to lead the way toward town.]

Haven't seen dinosaurs, yet. Promised Tim teeth. Will have to find... something else, to bring back.

Hey, we haven't gotten back yet. There's still a chance for dinosaurs.

Maybe, can find... baby lion. Bring back pet.

I don't think Ace, or Tim, would appreciate that very much.

Not even... very small one?

[As long as Steph continues to be so much fun to tease, Cass will just keep going.]
