[Good evening, explorers! After departing from Cair Paradisa, the path was south at first, but turned west fairly early on. Skirting well south of Eldritch Forest, the travelers had camped near the edge of the Amber Steppe, not quite within sight of the forest that marks the Totem Coast. The grasses are parched brown by the heat, though greener patches mark the presence of water. It's near one of these - a small, bubbling stream leading west that Raine has chosen to follow as it will almost certainly run into the river marked on her map - that the travelers have made their camp.

The carts and wagons are arranged in a defensive circle, though the campers are free to set up their tents outside them as well as inside wher ethe rest of them are. There are small cooking fires scattered around as well as a large bonfire in the center for socializing.

Play music? Sing? Teach those poor non-Earth kids how to make s'mores? Or just sit around and socialize with others.

Or hide in your tent and ignore everyone, if you really want to.]

That's true. I can pout and play irritating songs. Maybe they'll decide to leave me at the castle next time.

So, how've you been enjoying the trip? Seen as you actually wanted to be here?

It's nice so far. If this proves to be like the last one, the biggest excitement will happen once we get to our destination.

When you say excitement, you don't secretly mean 'terror' do you? Just checking. ...In case.

Oh, no, the exciting part for me was actually being inside and learning about the castle.

Soooo the chances of anything trying to kill us are slim? Because I like those odds.

Hm... well... it is Paradisa, so I think the best thing to do is plan for multiple possibilities.

How do you even plan for something like that?

I've had some experience in living on the run.

We will some day, but it hasn't happened yet. We were in the middle of it when I arrived here.

Oh. I'm sorry. That must make being trapped in Paradisa pretty hard.

It can be difficult, but I'm glad for the experience. I've met some remarkable people here. [and yes that means you, Once-ler]

This place is full of random people. I've got to give it that much credit.

Even if some of the worlds I hear about are pretty crazy.

I'd be surprised if there was a world that wasn't a little bit "crazy".

Some of the ones I've heard of are pretty sane compared to mine. They don't even have green eggs and ham.
