[Good evening, explorers! After departing from Cair Paradisa, the path was south at first, but turned west fairly early on. Skirting well south of Eldritch Forest, the travelers had camped near the edge of the Amber Steppe, not quite within sight of the forest that marks the Totem Coast. The grasses are parched brown by the heat, though greener patches mark the presence of water. It's near one of these - a small, bubbling stream leading west that Raine has chosen to follow as it will almost certainly run into the river marked on her map - that the travelers have made their camp.

The carts and wagons are arranged in a defensive circle, though the campers are free to set up their tents outside them as well as inside wher ethe rest of them are. There are small cooking fires scattered around as well as a large bonfire in the center for socializing.

Play music? Sing? Teach those poor non-Earth kids how to make s'mores? Or just sit around and socialize with others.

Or hide in your tent and ignore everyone, if you really want to.]

I don't know, whatever the heck you're doing. [sits down and picks up a random bundle of pine needles.]

Mmm, yeah, I have. [Not quite the same as the friends he was so close to at home, but it was nice none-the-less.]

[ She visibly relaxes once the sword returns and his hand falls from it, it was only a natural worry that floated in the back of her mind. A worry all mothers would have for their children. ]

[ Dany looks down at them, regarding them fondly as all three dragons turn their heads to peer at the other man. More out of curiosity than out of suspicion. ]

I am. [ She shifts slightly. ] I am bonded to my dragons as they are bonded to me, the separation of that bond was distressing and they are not uncomfortable with the lack of it.

[ Her attention returns to him, violet eyes blinking curiously. His voice is vaguely familiar. ]

[He shrugs] I doubt my complaints are any worse that anyone else's in this place.

Really?

Wait...then how do they not melt their meat?

Oh, just fine. Can't complain.

[He takes up a stick for himself, produces a pocket knife from one of the pouches on his belt, and starts to whittle it down to a skewer.]

These things always start out pleasant enough, anyway.

[ She nods. ] Yes.

[She's just going to chuckle at that.]

Are you really so fixated on the possibility of being eaten that you don't wonder what might be out here?

[That sounds...strange. Her eyes narrow.] I'll keep an eye out for her.

[ Arya smiles, pleased she guessed right. ]

What other cities have you been to?

[ He'll help out! By sweeping another few pine needles over towards her. ]

I don't think you can really win at that. Mostly I was just tossing things in.

Long ride out, but we haven't come across any trouble.

I guess if you're willing to lug it along, that's not such a bad way to look at it. It may not be convenient, or conventional, or even common sense, but if it makes you feel better, then who am I to judge?

I must confess I do not know. It is not something I am proud of, but I truthfully know very little of dragons. The people of my world believed them to be dead and the only tales I had were ones Viserys used to tell me.

The memory of Viserys' rage used to make her tremble, but now she feels nothing but pity. ] I have also traveled to Vas Dothrak when my lord husband still lived.

Hey, if that's the case - who can blame you for not knowing much? I doubt there's how to train your dragon guides or anything written.

[Tsuna's kind of caught off guard by the sudden hitch in words, and when he looks to see her face, he just.. becomes more confused.]

We didn't hit any major hitches on the last expedition until we got to our destination. Could be the same here. [Which will make Carolina much more careful once they get into any caves or cave systems. She definitely doesn't want another cave-in.]

[Carolina reaches into her pack for her canteen, offering it out to South.]

It won't do much, but it could help. [If South's overheated or whatever might be going on right now.]

[Carolina smiles lightly.] Take a few minutes to eat, then, and we'll get started soon.
